Due to the current snow conditions, the Riegel Ridge Community Center and Fitness Center are closed.  All activities are cancelled.  We will resume our normal schedule tomorrow at 10AM.

Beginning February 3rd, we will be introducing our new Cheernastics program for boys and girls age 5 years through 8th grade.  This is a progressive learning process with four levels.  In each level a child will be required to execute all tasks for that level in their proper form before moving to the next level.  Our staff places strict focus on safety & correct form while gradually building the child’s confidence, strength and flexibility needed to effectively perform these gymnastics.  Your child’s level of capability will be determined by our coaching staff.

Classes will be held on Wednesdays only and each session runs for 12 weeks.  Our first session ends on April 21st.  CLASS SIZES WILL BE LIMITED!!

Fees are as follows:  Level 1 & 2 (1 hour classes)  $125.00,  Level 3 & 4 (1-1/2 hrs. classes) $175.00. Registration opens on Monday, Jan. 18th.  Registration forms are available at RRCC. Continue Reading »

Life Line Screening Radiology will be performing the following screenings at RRCC.                              

1.  Stroke/Carotid Artery Screening - consists of an ultrasound scan of the carotid arteries that screens for buildup of fatty plaque - the leading cause of strokes!

2.  Atrial Fibrillation Screening - this screens for the most common irregular heart beat, which increases the risk of stroke 5 fold.

3.  Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening - Ultrasound scan that screens for the existence of an aneurysm (enlargement) in the abdominal aorta that could lead to a ruptured aortic artery.

4.  Peripheral Arterial Disease screening - screens for peripheral arterial disease in the lower extremities.  AN abnormal result may indicate a risk for peripheral arterial disease and an increased risk of coronary artery disease.

Screenings are fast, painless, affordable and convenient!

All 4 screenings are being offered for only $139.  Life Line will perform an Osteoporosis screening (ultrasound measurement of the heel bone to determine abnormal bone mass density) for just $10 more.
