Classes

The classes we offer at RRCC Fitness Center are subject to change based on attendance levels or by instructor request.  Some classes described below may or may not be available.  Please check our class calendar for the most current classes offered.  Classes will run for the entire month as advertised.

Several classes require pre-registration with payment to assure instructor fees are covered for the duration of the course, a minimum of 5 registrants are needed before the class is scheduled to run.  These classes run 8 weeks and are:  Ab Attack and No Impact.   Pre-registration No Impact classes are as follows $24 for members, $40 for non members.  Ab Attack is a ½ hour class and fees are $9 members, $15 non-members. 

 

B.L.A.S.T. - (stands for BUTTS, LEGS, ABS & ARMS, slight cardio & TONING!  All you wanted in an exercise class and more!!  Starts Thursday, October 8th, 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  Shelli guarantees a great toning workout with very little cardio!

Body Toning (Intervals also), Step & Strength, Boot Camp, Bands and Balls are regularly scheduled classes and do not require pre-registration.

The following is a list of classes currently offered at the Fitness Center. 

Body Toning

For all levels of fitness is designed to strengthen those pesky buns, thighs, abs and arms. This class will devote approximately 10 mins. for flattening the stomach, 25 minutes toning those buns and thighs, and 25 minutes strengthening the upper body!

Step Aerobics

A cardio workout using “step” platforms throughout the workout, guaranteed to get your heart pumping and blood flowing!!!

Bands and Balls

Join us Tuesday evenings at 6:30 for this class.  Use stability balls and resistance bands for a total body workout that will test your balance, coordination and core strength.

Interval Challenge

This class runs on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 and combines stretching, toning, stepping and a great cardio workout.  Definitely a great workout for the beginner to the intermediate.  Work at your own pace.

The fee for the classes listed above will be as follows:

  • Members $3.00 per class
  • Non-Members $5.00 per class

 

NO IMPACT class (pre-registration required)

Started Thursday, September 10th and ends October 29th. Walk-ins pay $4 members, $6 non-members

This class is guaranteed to get you into shape and feeling good again WITHOUT the bouncing, jogging and aerobic workout that stresses your joints or your heart!  Balance and flexibility exercises are combined to strengthen your entire body, ending with a relaxing stretch!

Ab Attack - (pre-registration required)

8:45AM Saturday mornings. 

This 30 minute class will help you firm those flabby abs and increase your tone.  You can sign up for the 6 week or 12 week plan.  See our desk receptionist for more information.  Walk ins for current session at $2.50 members, $3.50 non-members.  Next session scheduled to start 11/1, to be determined by number of pre-registrants

BOOT CAMP w/Teri Saccal at Riegel Ridge to begin Saturday, October 17th at 7AMTeri, owner of HomeBody Fitness, will be offering weekly 1 hour Homebody Boot Camp sessions at RRCC that will build endurance and strength through cardio drills, strength training and some good old-fashioned sweat!  No fancy footwork here, just bring your energy and a “Can DO” attitude.  Weather permitting the classes will be held outside.  Regardless of your fitness level, you will experience a sense of achievement!  Fee for class is $8 per person.  For more information you can checkout Teri’s website at www.homebodyfitness.us
