Rules & Regulations

GENERAL RULES                                                   

  1. RRCP is a Non-Smoking facility. Smoking is allowed only in the paved area outside and away from the main entrance to the pool house.
  2. RRCP membership cards are non-transferable. Cards must be presented at the front desk where photo ID is utilized for admission to the pool. Adults may be asked to show a drivers license as additional identification.
  3. Each membership (not person) includes guest privileges of 5 days per season (Maximum of 5 per day) at a rate of $7 per person.
  4. Non-member admission is permitted dependent upon daily pool attendance. Rates are $15 per person or $45 per family.
  5. An adult must remain at the pool with children under the age of 12 years.
  6. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed anywhere on the pool grounds.
  7. Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be refused admittance and/or requested to leave the grounds.
  8. The pool staff will enforce all rules and may evict any person for violation of any rule. The pool staff may contact the parent or guardian of any minor in cases of unruly conduct.
  9. All persons are required to shower before entering the pool.
  10. Any person showing evidence of a contagious or infectious disease, or with excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts or bandages may be denied admission.
  11. Do not enter the water if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have had any signs or symptoms of a gastrointestinal (stomach) disease in the past ten days.
  12. The pool staff has the final say as to whether the facility will be opened or closed during inclement weather, and will determine periods of temporary closure due to electrical storms or other hazardous circumstances.
  13. Parking is allowed on the paved areas above the pool grounds in properly marked spaces. Do not park on the grass or on the ends of any aisles. Do not park in designated “No Parking” areas provided for emergency vehicle access. An additional unpaved parking area near the water tower is available. This is the only grassy area approved for parking.  The lower parking area at the pool house is for disabled access and designated pool staff only. Vehicles without proper disable identification are prohibited in this area for any reason without prior approval from the pool staff. Dropping-off or picking-up patrons or items at the pool house is prohibited.
  14. No animals, except seeing-eye dogs, are allowed anywhere on the pool grounds.
  15. RRCP provides a limited number of umbrellas and chairs, both are available on a first come first serve basis. They cannot be reserved or saved for someone. Members may bring their own chairs to the pool and limited outside storage will be provided.  You must store your chair in the space provided or take it with you. We suggest you put your name on your chair(s) and respect the property of others by using only your own chair(s). Storage of personal chairs will be at members own risk and chairs left at the close of the season will be discarded.

DIVING BOARD RULES

  1. Swimming aids may not be used. All persons using the board should be able swimmers. In water assistance is prohibited.
  2. Only one person on the board at a time.
  3. Exit at ladder only.
  4. Do not dive until the previous diver has reached the ladder.
  5. No diving or jumping from the side of the board.
  6. No back flips.
  7. Recreational swimming is not permitted in the diving area.

SLIDE RULES (when/if installed) 

  1. Swimming aids may not be used. All persons using the board should be able swimmers.
  2. Sitting down and feet first entry only.
  3. One person at a time on the slide including steps.
  4. Wait for Guard signal before entry.
  5. Exit at ladder only.
  6. Weight limit: 225 pounds       

SPECIFIC POOL RULES

  1. No person will wear anything other than a bathing suit in the pools.  Children not toilet trained must wear swim diapers or rubber pants. DISPOSABLE DIAPERS are not allowed in the pool.
  2. The following will not be permitted in the pool or on the cement areas surrounding the pool:
    • Expectoration
    • Food or beverages
    • Horseplay, rough or rowdy behavior, or other conduct which affects the safety or comfort of others.
    • Diving from the sides of the pool or the shoulders of another person
    • Unnecessary splashing
    • Running
  3. The lap lane is only for those persons swimming laps.
  4. Swimming aids used for the instruction of small children will be allowed if approved by the pool staff and if used under close adult supervision.
  5. Balls, floats or other toys will be permitted only during times designated by the pool staff. “Toy Time”

MULTI-PURPOSE POOL

  1. Children under 6 years of age must be supervised by an adult and may not be left unattended.
  2. Children not toilet trained must wear swim diapers or rubber pants. DISPOSABLE DIAPERS are not allowed in the pool.
  3. No glass containers, chewing gum, or food is allowed on the deck area.
  4. No rough or rowdy conduct affecting the safety, comfort or enjoyment of the children will be allowed.
  5. No chairs will be allowed on the deck within 5 feet of the waters edge. Care must be taken not to form a barrier blocking the entrance to the pool.
  6. Toy usage will be at the lifeguard’s discretion.
  7. No sand will be allowed in the pool.
  8. Frog slide – only one person on the feature at a time, including the ladder.
  9. Vortex – no more than 6 occupants at a time. Lifeguard will regulate time allowed per visit depending on those waiting.
